First Word!

Whenever we tell somebody about Jasper our "parrot," the first thing they ask is...does he talk? Well Jasper does talk...sort-of. We actually had to wait 2-3 months before he said his first word. I was sitting on the couch and I could hear him trying to say something, and it sounded like an Ssss sound. I was finally able to make it out and he was saying Kiss! He would say kiss and make a kissing sound afterward. It was pretty exciting, so I wanted to see if he would say anything else. Well he wouldn't say anything else but kiss over and over...but if you put him near your face he would make the kiss sound and say kiss like he was actually kissing you! Awesome! My fiancee freaked out when I told her and was a little jealous that he said his first words only when I was around. To this day he says kiss constantly and wants to give kisses. He recently started saying his name and a few other words that I can't make out. Its funny how he practices when he is sitting by himself. I've tried to get some video of him talking but he is camera shy! I'll keep trying and hopefully be able to post it up.
